BEFORE THE BRAND, THERE IS A CERTAIN IDEA OF LIFE.
Vestiges began long before its first garment. In 2014, I was filling notebooks with drawings, shapes, and ideas. I didn't yet know it would become a fashion house. But something was already there. A taste for beautiful things. A desire to create a world. A need to give form to what I felt. Calm and euphoria. Restraint and intensity. Ambition and pleasure. Over time, these fragments became a direction. Then a brand.

There is something of the American yuppies in Vestiges: this desire to move forward, to build, to embrace ambition and a taste for beautiful things.
There is also something of the 19th-century French bons vivants: those who made pleasure, outings, encounters, and elegance a way of life.
And above all, there is the Epicurean spirit, in its true sense: not consuming more, but choosing better. Seeking just the right pleasure. Knowing how to appreciate without getting lost. Vestiges comes from this encounter. Ambition. Pleasure. Restraint. Taste.
WIDOW COOPER
Veuve Cooper is the name under which I create. Before Vestiges, there were drawings. Then painting. Then objects. Then clothes. I never saw these different art forms as separate worlds. They all come from the same place: a certain way of life. Living life to the fullest but with taste. Having ambition without losing pleasure. Enjoying without self-destruction. Vestiges is not a clothing brand with a universe around it. It's a universe that expresses itself in different forms, and clothing is one of them.

Vestiges is produced in small quantities in Europe, with no permanent stock. Each edition belongs to a specific period. Once it's gone, it's gone for good. Not to create artificial urgency, but because a piece has more impact when it retains the trace of a moment.
